Every girl would have dreamt to have their wardrobe full of shoes as no woman can have enough of them in their life. If you ask me, I know of no one who doesn't love to wear pumps heels as it gives that extra boost up of our confidence but it can be very uncomfortable at times.
Let's face it, we all have that one pair of heels at some point of your lives that looks amazing but at the same time, gives you that mind-numbing pain in the heels of your feet. Pain for the sake of beauty sucks but with a few tips & tricks, you can wear out your favourite pair of pumps heels comfortably.
Tips & Tricks #1 Measure your Feet
First of all, know what type of shoe that suits your feet, by measuring them. I personally think this is the most important step to consider before heading out to find that perfect pair of pumps heels. The way you walk also matters, always walk heels to toe instead of toe to heels to prevent yourself from falling.
Tips & Tricks #2 Wear Thicker Heels
I know we all love those skinny Louboutin heels but let's be honest that our feet won't be able to survive a whole night in them and still be able to walk the next day. I found myself leaning towards thicker block heels whenever I go for shoe hunting. Nowadays, you can find really gorgeous block heels and they look equally chic and sexy as stilettos.
You can check out many different design of pumps heels, from cute ones to those chic and sexy ones like below.
Tips & Tricks #3 Sandpaper
I am sure one of the silly ones who almost slipped while wearing a new pair of pumps heels. One of the scariest things about wearing heels is slipping, falling and breaking your ankles! Therefore the best trick to that is using a sandpaper and scrub the bottom of the heel thoroughly before you wear them outside. This will create fiction and grip so it will be easier to stay on your feet.
Tips & Tricks #4 Dry Shampoo/Deodorant Stick
Blisters are one of the most annoying thing we always get after wearing heels all day and the easiest to solve the problem is by deodorant stick or dry shampoo spray. That's right, especially if your feet gets sweaty on humid days like mine.Use dry shampoo on your feet thoroughly as this socks up the moisture which avoids sweating and the extra friction developed helps keep those awful blisters away.
Alternatively, deodorant stick also helps by simply swipe the back and sides of your foot before throwing on your new heels. The deodorant will acts as a barrier, protecting your skin from friction.
Tips & Tricks #5 Wear Insoles
Don't underestimate the value of insoles though as they can help combat soreness under the ball of your foot when wearing your favourite heels. Gel insoles are my favourite whenever I wear my heels as it helps to reduce the soreness and keep pressure off my foot. There is also cushion designed insoles if you find your toes are constantly sliding forward in your shoes.
I hope these tips & tricks help you beautiful ladies out there as no one would give up wearing heels. Do make sure to give your feet a rest after a whole day of wearing heels, a warm water soak is a nice way to relax your feet.
Let me know if you have tried one or more of the tricks before and how often do you wear out your pair of heels?
Thanks for reading xx
