Glossybox Review - March 2015

It's officially spring in the UK, there are nice sunny days in Manchester but only for a few hours till it rains again. I am glad that it's getting a little bit warmer now but still weather here is very unpredictable!

Today, I'm going to review this month's Glossybox and it includes hand-picked products are spring-inspired! Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service. Their box will consists of 4-5 full size or sample of selected hair, make-up, body and nail products from well-known brands.

The box includes 4 full-sized and 2 sample products which worth a value of £35.00. A fair selection of products for hair, skin, makeup and nail polish in this month's box! Brands featured are from NAOBAY, ncLA, Dove, Essence and Sleek.

NAOBAY Moisturising Peeling (Full Size 100ml) RRP £13.71

It's my first time hearing this brand so it's good to try out this product from their skincare department. This moisturising peeling contains natural peeling particles from the Acai palm tree and claims to gently exfoliate the skin, remove surface cells and impurities, whilst also helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines.

It has a refreshing citrus scent and comes in a light weight milky formula with tiny exfoliating particles which won't feel rough. Do apply to slighly damp skin and delicately massage in a circular motion without applying too much pressure

ncLA Nail Lacquer (Full Size 15ml) RRP £13.00

I never seen this brand sold in Boots or Superdrug before so I am excited to try this out!

I love love nail polishes and I have a bad habit of collecting all colors. The shade that I got from ncLA is call 'Like...totally valley girl' which is totally up right my alley. I love the colour as it screams out spring to me. The shade is more like a light pink princess colour! Didn't turn out the exact colour in the photo but it looks brighter in real life.

ncLA products claim to be "5 free" luxury nail lacquer which includes 100% free of DBP, toulene, formaldehyde, camphor and animal testing.

Dove Youthful Vitality Shampoo & Conditioner Duo (Travel Size 50ml) - Full Size 250ml RRP £5.99 each  Shampoo & Conditioner

I always feel disappointed when beauty subscription box decides to include shampoo and conditioner because most of them contains SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulpahte) which is a chemical that is used for dishwashers. It's not very healthy for my hair since my hair is dyed and damaged. SLS would further damaged it.

However, it might work very well on other people! This Dove Youthful vitality collection concentrates on ageing hair to give it the boost it needs with a unique formula infused with Cysteine rich-Protein and Elasto-Lipids, bringing a deep replenishment with double fullness to create youthful and thicker looking hair.

Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara (Full Size 12ml) RRP £3.30

The item that stands out the most in the box is this princess-y type of mascara product from Essence.

Essence is an affordable Europe brand where they aim to have no animal testings on all their products. This lash princess mascara with a specially-shaped cobra-head wand covers each individual lash to create dramatic volume and a gorgeous, sweeping look.

Unfortunately, it weighs down my straight lashes which is a let down for me. It has a very good black pigment but I think the formula is a little bit too heavy for my asian eyelashes. However, it is still nice in my makeup collection as a decoration.

Sleek MakeUP Pout Paint (Full Size 8ml) RRP £4.99 here

This Pout paint is a lip stain providing intense colour and long-lasting finish. This little tube is packed with soft, creamy, moisturising texture and highly pigmented lip colour which adds a vibrant pop of colour effortlessly. It feels like a lipstick texture, non-sticky and with a semi-matte finish on your lips. A little can go long way with this!

The shade that I got is called "Rosette" which is the name suggest, a rose colour which is my favourite! I am happy that I got this colour from this box and I cant wait to try it out for springtime!

Lastly, Glossybox has given us a spoiler alert for April's box where all subscribers will receive full size of Lord & Berry Crayon Lipstick. Their April box will be a Collectors Edition Iconic Hollywood box edit!
