Selfridges Advent Calendar 2014

I'm in MANCHESTER!! Just landed 3 days ago, trying to settle in through the strong cold winds and hailstones. Changing from living in a 30 degree celsius country to 7 degree celsius in just a day, is quite overwhelming for me.

Hopefully, I am able to get it use to it soon but before arriving Manchester, I've already started shopping (Naughty, I know!). The first thing I got was the Advent Calendar from Selfridges which costs £85 but worth easily over £100 with mini samples of expensive brands such as Lancome, YSL, Urban Decay, Kiehls, Shu Uemura and so on.

The following pictures will show you what you will get each day(spell) before Xmas.

Day 1 - YSL Opium EDT (7.5ml)

Day 2 - Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser (30ml)
Day 3 - Lancome Renergie Multi-Lift Day Cream (15ml)

Day 4 - Lancome Galateis Douceur (50ml)
Day 5 - Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil (20ml)

Day 6 - Lancome La Vie Est Belle (4ml)

Day 7 - Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream (7ml)

Day 8 - YSL Forever Youth Liberator Serum (7ml)

Day 9 - Armani Code Femme EDP (3ml)

Day 10 - Lancome L'absolu Rouge (1.6ml)

Day 11 - Lancome Hypnose Drama (2ml)

Day 12 - Armani Diamonds Rose EDP (5ml)

Day 13 - Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate (4ml)

Day 14 - Lancome Hypnose Mascara Black (2ml)

Day 15 - YSL Crayon Khol - Black

Day 16 - Lancome Advanced Genifique Serum (7ml)

Day 17 - Urban Decay Espp Anti-Aging (3.7ml)

Day 18 - Lancome Visionnaire (7ml)

Day 19 - Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb EDP (7ml)

Day 20 - Lancome Bi-Facil (30ml)

Day 21 - Lancome mini Lip Lover 337 Lip Lover (3ml)

Day 22 - Lancome Advanced Genefique Serum (7ml)

Day 23 - Lancome mini Lip Lover 355 Framboise Etoile (3ml)

Day 24 - Kiehl's Creme de Corps (30ml)

To be honest, I kinda regret of buying this Advent Calender when I later realized that  YOUbeautydiscovery had a better brand selection that targets for the twenties. Also they are worth £250 and they sold it for £50. I definitely wont miss their 2015 edition!

I do love the Kiehls and Urban decay product from this advent calendar! Sadly, Lancome and YSL product is kinda disappointing for me because they added aging products which might not be useful for those in their twenties (like me).

What do you guys think?

December Favourites 2014

December favourites is late but better than never :) This month, I have a handful of favourite products which I have used most last month. Let's get started!!

Etude House Brush Shower Cleaner (US $11 in ebay)

I use my brushes almost everyday before going out to work and I always make sure to wash them once a week due to my busy work schedule. Most people neglect the importance of washing the brushes once or twice a week but that is one of the reason contributing to acne on your face. Bacteria on the brushes will built up every time you use in which increases the chances of pimples.

If you're looking for a budget yet effective brush cleaner,  I highly recommend this one from Etude house, it cleanse my makeup brushes like a dream. The texture of  it is just like water, but it cleanses the brushes so effectively.

You only need a few drops of this, mixed with a few drops of water in a bowl and swirl your dirty makeup brushes on it. Alternatively, you can put a few drops of this brush cleaner on the brush and massage a little with your hand.

I've been using this a good 3 months now and I am running out of it. Definitely going to purchase them again!!

Hand Chemistry Intense Youth Complex Mini (30ml)

I rarely uses or even invest in hand creams because I hate that sticky feeling after you've applied. But when I got this product from Lookfantastic November Beauty Box, I thought I would give this a try. It is quite costly in my opinion for a hand cream but I think its so worth it!

This hand cream smells so florally and sweet, I couldn't stop sniffing my hands once I've applied this cream (crazy right?). It instantly makes your hand so much softer and does not have that sticky feeling! I also do a test on my heels the night before and oh my, my feet was so soft the next day.

Just a pea size of this can already show you how great this product is. I will repurchase the full-size one when I'm in the UK.

Kao Biore Makeup Remover Perfect Cleansing Cotton Tissue (10 Sheets) Travel Pack

I've been loving this makeup remover for a long time now actually. This one is cheap yet works very effectively. It is actually for removing for eye makeup but you could also use for face. In my opinion, it does remove most of my eye makeup easily but not completely, I still need to massage them on my eye a few more times to get rid of my stubborn waterproof mascara.

Other than that, I love it because it is small and handy, perfect for travelling or those days when I am just too lazy to thoroughly cleanse my face (Its bad by the way, but couldn't help it sometimes).

Etude House Wonder Pore Toner (250ml) ($14 in ebay)

This toner is quite popular among asia and it got really hyped few years back. I started using this last year and I am still using it until now. This is my second re-purchase of the 250ml bottle (If I'm not wrong) and I already purchased the 500 ml one as backup.

This toner contains antiseptic properties which removes oil, dirt, germs and residue for clear, healthy skin. It also claims to do 7 types of benefits to your skin but majority of it concentrates on minimizing the pores.

Does it minimize the pores overtime? Yes, it does for me!! I love to apply this toner as my skin feels so refreshed and cleanse, ready for my moisturizer to set in. I use them once or twice a day because I alternate this with my Hadalabo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Skin Lotion which is in my November Favourites

Nature Republic Soothing & Moisture Aloe Vera Soothing Gel 300ml (US $9 in ebay)

This Aloe vera gel has been my lifesaver for this month! My skin isn't been very nice to me, I have pimples popping out on my forehead and a few bumps on my cheek. Pop a bit of this on my face the night before to sleep and Viola, I can see that my pimples are significantly reduced and the bumps on my cheeks are gone.

This soothing gel is enriched with 92% of aloe vera with mild formula free from paraben. It is also been certified by california certified organic farmers (CCOF) can be used to mildly moisturize various parts of the body such as the face, arms and legs. It is a multi-use product not only for the face but for body as well to calm down redness, mosquito bites, wounds, and so much more.

In my experience, it doesn't moisturize my face after I applied them all over my face the night before as a sleeping mask. It does calm down all my pimples and redness but it does slightly dries up my face. I recommend to use a moisturizing mask after you've applied aloe vera overnight.

Blogialtes Fit Journal 2015 review

So happy to receive this fit journal exactly on Jan 1, 2015! I really love Cassey who create Blogilates. She also make Youtube videos teaching us Pilates and her videos are really motivating.

Cassey Ho is a fitness guru and online personality best known for her creative and cheerful exercises. She is a certified Pilates and group fitness instructor, as well as the creator of POP Pilates and writer of Blogilates.com. She is also designer of oGorgeous, which sells her own line of fitness apparel.

In Dec 2014, she introduced this yearly fit journal and I am so excited to order it. It was released on 15 Dec 2014 and I bought it on the day it released! Previously, she also release a 8-week fit journal which I was so close to buy them! Luckily, I was patience enough to wait for her yearly fit journal.

The book itself is quite thick, but is of a great size to bring out and about with you. Cassey also included a pen to write the journal. First thing I noticed this book was it is SO COLOURFUL and It justs feels motivating in my opinion.

This is my first fit journal in my life so I am going to challenge myself this 2015 to commit to Blogilates and lose some weights!

I am just started to get used to write whatever I eat on this journal every end of the day. I haven't filled in most of the areas but I just want to show you some pictures of this beautiful journal:

A message from Cassey in the beginning of the book with her motivation on us which is very sweet. She also add another message at the end of the book which I will keep them for later at the end of 2015!

I am in the midst of filling in my Bucket list but at the moment, I just want to maintain my weight 66kg >.<

This is where you can stick motivational pictures or quotes to make you feel pumped up for workout and strike for a healthy lifestyle. I am so looking forward to filled this page with my favourite quotes and inspirations!

My favourite part of the book!! The progress pictures section are for you to keep track how much weight you've lost or gain every month. Every end of the month, I will be sticking pictures of my body so hopefully there will be a transformation at the end of the year.

The Pledge of 2015 which I signed and I must stick to it! Every month, there will have a picture of a girl illustrated by Cassey herself.  Also there is also different colour theme for every month and in January, it is blue. How thoughtful Cassey was to keep this journal colourful! I really love her idea and am looking forward for the February girl already!!

Calendar which is great for writing down important events and everyday planning even if its not workout related.

The major part of the book is the daily pages which consists of 365 days of meal planning, workout recording, sleep recording and water intake recording. There is also a recap section where you can write how you feel. Studies have shown that people who write down what they eat and how they work out are much more likely to be successful on their fitness journey.

Every month, I will be posting my progress here and also show more of how the book looks like each month.

I am in between normal and overweight on my BMI and my goal for the year is to just stay where I am. This year, I am pushing myself to lose some weight.

You can purchase her Fit Journal 2015 here, she also do a combo pack which includes the Fit journal and Calendar 2015 for only $50 here.

Thanks so much for reading! xx

New Year New Hair & Updates! ♡

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!~

Hope everyone enjoyed the long holidays celebrating with your love ones!

Finally its 2015, I've been waiting for this year to come for so long...a change in my life!  I will be quitting my full time job this January and going to Manchester, UK to study ACCA for 2 years! I'm so excited!!

I've been to the UK before in 2011 for a year for my degree and since then, I've been dreaming to go back. After 2 years of working in Brunei, my parents finally decided I can further my studies again. Without my parents support, I don't think I will even have the chance to explore Europe!!

My 2014 has been full of surprises ever since I met a man. I've changed a lot ever since I met him, in a good ways of course. It will be depressing to leave him but I wish him all the best in the future. :')

2015 is probably going to be a fresh new start for me! It is scary to think that I will be travelling alone to Manchester with no friends around that area. But that doesn't stop me from fulfilling my dreams!

Can't wait to review more Europe Beauty products and travels adventures this year for you!

Before leaving, I just had to change my hair colour as I hate my faded medium golden brown hair colour....

Before & After

I always get my hair dyed professionally in salons, as I am too scared of the risks of Home dye. The hair colour I dyed was from the Metallic Range from Schwarzkopf and it is the 6-28 Steel Red with the mixture of brown and red in them. It is pretty close to black without the sunlight which is what I wanted.

My previous hair colour turns out to be too bright after 6 months and my hair literally looks fried every day :( It just screams unhealthy to me whenever i see my reflection in the mirror.

Going back dark isn't as damaging as going lighter so I am glad I did this. I realized it is so tiring to maintain hair colour after dye. I hope this new colour isn't that much of a hassle.

That's all I wanted to share today!

Thanks for reading! xx
