Glossybox Review - March 2015

It's officially spring in the UK, there are nice sunny days in Manchester but only for a few hours till it rains again. I am glad that it's getting a little bit warmer now but still weather here is very unpredictable!

Today, I'm going to review this month's Glossybox and it includes hand-picked products are spring-inspired! Glossybox is a monthly beauty subscription service. Their box will consists of 4-5 full size or sample of selected hair, make-up, body and nail products from well-known brands.

The box includes 4 full-sized and 2 sample products which worth a value of £35.00. A fair selection of products for hair, skin, makeup and nail polish in this month's box! Brands featured are from NAOBAY, ncLA, Dove, Essence and Sleek.

NAOBAY Moisturising Peeling (Full Size 100ml) RRP £13.71

It's my first time hearing this brand so it's good to try out this product from their skincare department. This moisturising peeling contains natural peeling particles from the Acai palm tree and claims to gently exfoliate the skin, remove surface cells and impurities, whilst also helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines.

It has a refreshing citrus scent and comes in a light weight milky formula with tiny exfoliating particles which won't feel rough. Do apply to slighly damp skin and delicately massage in a circular motion without applying too much pressure

ncLA Nail Lacquer (Full Size 15ml) RRP £13.00

I never seen this brand sold in Boots or Superdrug before so I am excited to try this out!

I love love nail polishes and I have a bad habit of collecting all colors. The shade that I got from ncLA is call 'Like...totally valley girl' which is totally up right my alley. I love the colour as it screams out spring to me. The shade is more like a light pink princess colour! Didn't turn out the exact colour in the photo but it looks brighter in real life.

ncLA products claim to be "5 free" luxury nail lacquer which includes 100% free of DBP, toulene, formaldehyde, camphor and animal testing.

Dove Youthful Vitality Shampoo & Conditioner Duo (Travel Size 50ml) - Full Size 250ml RRP £5.99 each  Shampoo & Conditioner

I always feel disappointed when beauty subscription box decides to include shampoo and conditioner because most of them contains SLS (Sodium Laureth Sulpahte) which is a chemical that is used for dishwashers. It's not very healthy for my hair since my hair is dyed and damaged. SLS would further damaged it.

However, it might work very well on other people! This Dove Youthful vitality collection concentrates on ageing hair to give it the boost it needs with a unique formula infused with Cysteine rich-Protein and Elasto-Lipids, bringing a deep replenishment with double fullness to create youthful and thicker looking hair.

Essence Lash Princess Volume Mascara (Full Size 12ml) RRP £3.30

The item that stands out the most in the box is this princess-y type of mascara product from Essence.

Essence is an affordable Europe brand where they aim to have no animal testings on all their products. This lash princess mascara with a specially-shaped cobra-head wand covers each individual lash to create dramatic volume and a gorgeous, sweeping look.

Unfortunately, it weighs down my straight lashes which is a let down for me. It has a very good black pigment but I think the formula is a little bit too heavy for my asian eyelashes. However, it is still nice in my makeup collection as a decoration.

Sleek MakeUP Pout Paint (Full Size 8ml) RRP £4.99 here

This Pout paint is a lip stain providing intense colour and long-lasting finish. This little tube is packed with soft, creamy, moisturising texture and highly pigmented lip colour which adds a vibrant pop of colour effortlessly. It feels like a lipstick texture, non-sticky and with a semi-matte finish on your lips. A little can go long way with this!

The shade that I got is called "Rosette" which is the name suggest, a rose colour which is my favourite! I am happy that I got this colour from this box and I cant wait to try it out for springtime!

Lastly, Glossybox has given us a spoiler alert for April's box where all subscribers will receive full size of Lord & Berry Crayon Lipstick. Their April box will be a Collectors Edition Iconic Hollywood box edit!

If you like this review, you can go ahead and subscribe to glossybox for only £13.25 including P&P per month! You can also check out my previous Glossybox February box review.

The items in the box are worth £67.75 which is a great deal as their monthly box is only £14.95 per month here!

Overall, I think My Little box did a great job this month incorporating the International Women day in their box! Personally, I really love the T-shirt and would definitely wear it out because its so comfy. I also love how they have added their own range of makeup lines in the box too.

What do you think about this month's box?

Love Me Beauty Box Review February 2014

Today, I am reviewing a new Box Subscription call 'Love Me Beauty' which I discovered and heard from Becca Rose (Youtuber). She gave a coupon code (which is now expired) which I got this box for only £8.95!!

Their membership box starts at £10.00 Plus £3.95 P&P per month and you can choose products you want yourself with the available credits or have a beauty consultant to choose products for you.

Each month, the monthly subscription is worth 6 credits and you simply chose the items you want inside your box from a selection of products ranging from hair, body, nails, skincare and make-up. Most of the items are either 1 or 2 credits. All the items are packed within a bag printed their name which is enclosed inside a box which can also be re-used for storage.

I think it is a great idea to have a chance to choose what products to appear in the box! Unfortunately, They don't include a product description card like most beauty box do.

I am a nail varnish addict and when I see they have Nails Inc in the selection, I just have to choose as much as I can!! This month's featuring products from Mirabella, Nails Inc and Popband.

MIRABELLA Pretty & Provocative in Tantrum - Full Size $22.00 here

Mirabella was designed to provide a luxury cosmetic brand to complete the salon beauty experience. They are founded in 2002 and they become internationally known in 2010 across the globe.

Out of 5 shades of their Pretty & Provocative collection, I have received a plum-my red colour lipstick named 'Tantrum'. It is claimed to be rich, highly pigment fashion shades that glides on smoothly and stay put all day. They are also paraben-free and lead-free.

Nails Inc Nail Polishes - Full Size RRP £11.00 each

The most excited part of this box are these nail polishes from Nail Inc. Just one nail polish is already costs more than what I bought the box for! The colours I have chosen was a nice purple shade in Lexington Gardens, blood red shade in Beauchamp Street and lastly, a glittery purple special effect shade in London Lane.
Swatches on my nails

Popband - Pack of 5 for RRP £8.00 here

These popbands came with many cute designs and the one that I've got is a simple light pink popband! They are kind on the hair, cute on the wrist! The material of this popband is soft, stretchy and will not rip or damage hair like regular hair bands. Great for having ponytails up tight as it will not leave a dent on your hair!

I am quite satisfied with the February box from Love Me Beauty as I get items worth up to £40.00 where I only paid £8.95 for the box! It is a complete steal! What do you think?

Look Fantastic is an online beauty website having a wide range of products and they provide free delivery worldwide! With over 14,000 products from 400 different brands across from hair, skincare, electrical, fragrance and more. Their box offers handpicked, must have beauty items ranging from skincare, haircare, body products and cosmetics wrapped in one classy box. They will contain at least 6-7 items which definitely worth more than the box itself!

After reviewing the Lookfantastic Beauty Box in February, I have decided to buy a 3-month subscription which costs about £ 13 each box for me! This month's box include an item which I was planning to buy and I was so excited to receive it!

The box features brands from Wet Brush, Bliss, Cowshed, Claudalie, Lord & Berry and Nudestix.

WET BRUSH LIL WET BRUSH - RRP £7.99 (here)

Wet Brush heard the cries of those struggling to detangle knotty hair, they sat up and listed. As a result of their thoughtful production, this amazing detangling hair brush is born. It is claimed to glide through your locks with minimum effort, relieving you of the daily battle with knotted hair. The Wet Brush can be used to tame wet hair or style your dry hair.

The Tangle Teezer was a big hit few years back and I also own a few brushes from there. However I think this Wet Brush is finally replacing Tangle Teezer (for me!) because it is THAT good! I was actually planning to buy one but I am so surprise to see this in the box this month!

I got this cute mini brush in purple and what I love about it is how gentle it is to my scalp. Moreover, it detangles my hair like a dream and makes my hair so smooth, its unbelievable! I still like to have a handle on my brush unlike Tangle Teezer. Highly highly recommend this!

Bliss Fatgirlslim 2oz - Sample Size (Full Size RRP £29.50 here)

It is my first time to try a product from Bliss and it is their Fatgirlslim product line which features QuSome-encapsulated caffeine molecules for quick and targeted delivery of skin firming. Qusomes are a proprietary permeation enhancer that help deliver active ingredients into the skin more effectively so caffeine can energise the skin, boosting circulation and stimulating lymphatic drainage to improve body contour.

To maximise the results, apply twice a day and massage for 20-30 seconds to simultaneously stimulate circulation.

Cowshed Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm - Full Size £5.00

The Lippy Cow Lip Balm is full of natural ingredients including essential oils, rose geranium and ylang ylang promising to soften the lips, leaving them supple. The balm texture is thick with a subtle citrus fragrance which is great for chapped lips.

I love natural lip balm and I am really excited to try from Cowshed! I have dry lips which constantly need to be moisturised every time so I do invest in a good lip balm!

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Antiwrinkle Defense Serum 10ml – Sample Size (Full Size RRP £35.00 here)

Caudalie have a great range of skin care products which are suitable for all skin types, this lightweight serum contains a innovative formula of grape-seed polyphenols and vitamin C, making skin look younger and revitalised.

This Antiwrinkle defense serum works to protect the skin from environmental factors, whilst preserving the skin and preventing the development of wrinkles. It is great to see Caudalie product in this month's box even though I am not too keen on anti-wrinkles products yet.

Lord & Berry Line/Shade Eye Pencil and Liner – Travel Size (Full Size RRP £9.00 here)

I think everyone should own a black eye pencil in their makeup collection! Lord & Berry is a great makeup brand, dedicated to create style. They are devoted to empowering women worldwide through its fashion forward cosmetics.

The Lord & Berry Line/Shade eye pencil is formulated from a special mix of kajal and kohl to give a rich and consistent colour that will make your eyes pop. It is claimed to be waterproof, long-lasting and blendable which is comfortable to apply. It's creamy texture can be used to create sharp line or a smudged, smokey effect that's perfect for the evening.

NUDESTIX Magnetic Eye Color – (Full Size RRP £24.00 here)

NUDESTIX is a new brand that is just added to Lookfantastic website and I am so excited to try this new brand in their march box! The shade that I got is a warm gold beige shade from their magnetic eye color range. Shadow sticks are great, easy to apply eyeshadows especially when you are in a hurry.

Their durable eye shadow pencil highlights, colours, lines and primes your eyes ensuring that they are in perfect condition all day. It is claimed to be blendable, waterproof and crease proof formula which is great for those you have oily eyelids. They are also enriched with vitamins, antioxidants and moisturisers.

Overall, I think this month's box is great, considering that the total products worth £71.48. My favourite discovery for this month is definitely the Wet Brush! It sure is a complete steal for just £15.00 a month! Moreover, it is a great way to try out new products which might turn out great for you.

The March box are still available here and if you're looking for a gift for Mother's day, I think this box would be perfect!

Boots & Feelunique Haul

It's finally March and I really hope Spring will come soon but unfortunately, it just snowed here in Manchester today. This month will be a busy month as I am starting my studies and meeting new lovely people. I feel so blessed sometimes :)

Few days back, I have done a bit of damage on my wallet shopping in Boots and Feelunique so today, I'm going to share what I've got! :)

Boots recently got a triple points event and I went all out for those products which are under 3 for 2 promotion. It's no harm to stock them up just incase my current ones run out! I also got a coupon voucher code in feelunique to spend so I only bought one thing or should I say its 1 for 2? Stick around and you'll know what I got :)

Garnier Cleansing Micellar Water 400ml

I have seen this cleansing water everywhere in magazines saying that it is very effective in removing makeup. I haven't tried Bioderma yet but some Youtubers recommend Garnier Cleansing water as a substitute. Taking chance of the promotion, I thought I would give this product a try!

It claims to remove make-up, cleanses and soothes with no need for rubbing or rinsing. Honestly, the reason why I pick it up is hope it can remove my waterproof eye makeup. It doesn't do the job unfortunately but it removes my foundation very well. I reckon Bioderma would be better since I heard many reviews that it removes makeup like a dream!

Boots 2 in 1 nail polish remover

Haven't got the time to do my nails since I have moved here, so I need to prep myself buy buying a nail polish remover! I love doing nail arts even though it takes me hours of patience but I think the idea of spending hours onto something that will lasts for at least a week, is great!

This particular remover contains pro-vitamin B5 to help strengthen and condition nails. I think there's no need to buy higher end nail polish remover, but instead invest in a better quality top coat nail polish which helps your nail polish to stay longer.

Boots Extracts Luscious Vanilla Body Scrub 400ml

I love anything that is vanilla scented, love the sweet scent of it. Once I open then jar, it smells like heaven! Picked that up as well without any hesitation.

First impression on this is that the scrub is quite watery and I found out that after use, the vanilla scent doesn't smell as strong as it is on the tub. However, it still makes my skin soft and moisturised!

Nivea In Shower Body Moisturiser Firming Q10 250ml

This is my first time trying any in-shower body moisturiser and I have heard good reviews about the dry skin version of it. I got the firming version instead since its nice to have your skin firm while moisturises! I really love this product so far because its really convenient compare to the Vaseline Cocoa Spray & Go which featured in my February Favourites. It doesn't have the scent as good as the Vaseline ones but I wouldn't mine it.

Aussie Shower Gel Mega Watt 400ml

A new released shower gel from Aussie, a popular brand for its amazing scents on shampoo & conditioners! I've used their product in the past before and is quite excited to use their new line on shower gel. They have 4 different scent on the line and the one I got smells AMAZING! Can't describe the scent very well but do give it a try when you saw them in stores. All of them smells amazing in my opinion!

Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencil (Sky Vanilla)

Saw StyleSuzi Video on minimal makeup and when I saw what she uses for her inner corner, I knew I need to buy this. I love this eyeshadow pencil which is very nice highlighting the inner corner. So excited to use this eyeshadow!!

A cream eyeshadow colour with nice shimmers that are really hard to remove after apply. It seriously did not budge when I keep rubbing it.

Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Nail Polish (Red Eye)

I have never tried Gel nail polish before (I am quite behind in the nail department now, but I'm trying to catch up!) but I will never doubt Sally Hansen's product. They do the best cuticle care and nail polish in my opinion. Though I love OPI too but I think Sally Hansen is definitely more to the professional side!

The colour I got is call Red Eye which is the perfect red (Yes, its perfect!). Its not a bright red, not a dark red but the perfect shade that I love! Just one coat of it is enough and I really love the brush application. It is expensive but totally worth it!

Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Cuticle Pen

My hands got really dry during these winter season and even though my hand cream helps to moisturise my hands, my nails are not. This cuticle pen does the job in one application on my nail cuticles and it instantly moisturise my rough cuticles.

Before going to the checkout counter, I spotted Marie Claire Magazine that comes with a free Nails Inc nail polish. I took it right off the shelf because it was the only one with this nude-y pink shade nail polish while the rest are like gray-ish and not very attractive colour.

The nail polish is call Fizz which is exclusively to Marie Claire only if I am not wrong. Nails Inc nail polishes alone costs £12 and you can get one free by buying Marie Claire magazine for only £4.00. What a steal!

TIGI Bed Head Hair Care Colour Goddess Tween Set - Shampoo & Conditioner 750ml

Last but not least, a brave purchase of TIGI Bed head product from FeelUnique.com! I've heard this product from Zoella 2014 favourites product video and agreed how she said that it smells like toffee caramel heaven.

The shampoo contains pro-vitamin B5 and essential nutrient vitamin E, cares for coloured hair and is infused with sweet almond oil, coconut oil and keratin (hair's key protein). Oil defence for electrifying colour.

The conditioner on the other hand, also infused with sweet almond oil, deposits a micro-layer of water repelling agents on the hair, without feeling heavy. It also contains shea butter, vitamin E and keratin that smooth down the hair ends.

I am always nervous trying new product on my hair, especially this is a big bottle than could lasts me for ages. I do read reviews that they are good and plus I've got a coupon code. I will give it a try and report back!

Thanks for reading! xx
