CLIO Salon De Cara Review

I was excited to see this new mascara from CLIO in Watson Malaysia, It cost about RM62.90 and they sell 3 types of mascara. 

• No.1 Roller Cara VOLUME X VOLUME For thin and boring lashes)
• No.2 Brush Cara VOLUME X CURLING (C-Curls for droopy lashes)
• No.3 Finger Cara VOLUME X LONG LASH (For sparse and short lashes)

I have really short lashes so I decided to buy No.3. I was attracted to buy this product due to the heated lash curler that comes with it. I never tried any heart curler so I was hesitated to buy this product and couldn't wait to try it.

As you can see above, the heated lash curler looks very cheap and the head can easily come off.  I was really scared that it would burn my lashes at first. Anyway, it needs a AAA Battery in order to operate. Not sure if you haven't already realized, there is no indicator at all if it is on or not. Just On and Off button which is you can choose. I put it On and sat on my dressing table for literally 10 minutes to figure out how it works. My battery is new so it should not be a problem but I don't feel like its heating up at all. It is either the batch I got is broken or I just use them in a wrong way. Please do let me know.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT but let's review the main thing of the product which is the mascara. I am using my Shu Uemura eyelash curler to curl my short lashes.

The packaging of the mascara is nice and sleek. It suppose to make my eyelash long and volume as it mentions on the packaging.

After using my Shu Uemura Eyelash curler on my short lashes. Barely could see above my eyeliner.

After Applied Salon De Cara Mascara

 First try on my eye, The mascara doesn't do anything to my eyelash, other than darken the color of it, but there is no length, no volume. Just black ink literally.

Second Try on my other eye, I used my hair dyer with maximum heat on my eyelash curler. Waited for a few seconds so it not very hot and then curl my lashes (cheaper alternative to a heated eyelash curler). You can clearly see my lashes stood very high above my eyeliner after I do that. After applied the mascara once, I still don't see any volume or length added to my short lashes. 

I try on the mascara during night time after my work, hence the tired eye look. 

I am so glad that I did not use this mascara before going out on a date the next day, as it will totally ruined my day. 

This is the second time I used korean mascara and is also the second time I am disappointed in their product. I don't think i will look at any korean mascara after this, just a waste of my money.
